THIS. Our jewels were a big part of this wedding. All the bridesmaids wore either Luna or Moon Shadow or a pair of earrings or a cuff—but Grandma Betty wore her necklace best! // now excuse me while I spend the rest of my life forming habits and building relationships that could someday amount to me standing beside the love of my life, marrying off one of my grandchildren 😭 I’m fine, it’s fine. A lot of our necklaces have a design element of unfinished brass like this one above ☝️ I love the variety of looks that this metal provides. From shine to patina, it’s the perfect amount of hardware to balance with our softest clothes! // pro tip: ‘bar tenders friend’ on a q-tip or sunglass cloth will shine your necklace right up. Be sure to take your time around the threads to keep the tassels and details looking clean. ✨ VIOLA!
Jess & John got their wedding photos yesterday from the magnificent @thesagedove 😍 so I did what every modern-day, matron bestie does—sat for over an hour and completed my 2018 photo book—because you can’t have a photo album without the most beautiful wedding you’ve ever been to in it. ✨ I also decided that I need more flower crowns in my life @katofkbflowers can you make that happen, please?!
I was walking through a hardware store when I got my first idea to make a necklace. You just never know when inspiration will strike! ⚡️ The copper findings just won me over. One idea lead to another... which lead to another and... you get the point!
I wore my last one inch cuff on Christmas Morning. A lot of the gals in my extended family were given bracelets as gifts or bought one at my pop ups in Fresno. My 97 year old, great-grandma, Nanny, noticed them on everyone and said she liked them! In two seconds I took the cuff from my wrist and put it on hers. She had a hard time understanding that I had a company called Habitual Threads and that I design jewelry for my job (ha! Way to keep me humble, Nanny 😂) but it was a really sweet exchange—one I’ll always remember. One inch cuffs have been restocked in the shop—I got my replacement, and now you can match me and Nanny too 💛
I can’t remember if I’ve shared this before or not but my best friend designed the logo and mark for Habitual Threads. This company is so special to me and it’s even more amazing that my bestie played a role in its branding. To take it a step further, I hope the jewelry and causes you choose are meaningful to you too, because everything that makes up HT was thoughtfully designed and imagined for you.
